Disordered Eating Priority Project
Supporting Caregivers, Supporting Recovery

Eating Disorder Support

Are you or someone you love living with an eating disorder? Do you know someone exhibiting signs and symptoms of disordered eating but are not sure where to go from here? Do you need information and support?

Welcome to the Caregiver Support website of the
Disordered Eating Project!

The Disordered Eating Priority Project has been funded by the Central East Local Health Integration Network (CE LHIN). One of the key project goals is to increase support for caregivers. We recognize that caregivers face complex and unique challenges every day and have their own needs in relation to their caregiving role, as highlighted by a related initiative, the CE LHIN Caregiver Support and Well-Being Project.

These include:

Recognition
Education and Information
Coping and Support

The Disordered Eating Project was developed to allow key stakeholders to strengthen their abilities to support individuals and their caregivers who are struggling with Disordered Eating. Disordered Eating behaviour can range from unhealthy weight control practices stemming from body dissatisfaction, to a diagnosable Eating Disorder, to recovery. This website is created and maintained by the Disordered Eating Priority Project Team to provide a one-stop resource that is specific to the needs of caregivers.
